Ingredients

  • 300g ground beef
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 2 burger buns
  • 4-5 tbsp 3P Golden Barbeque
  • Fresh lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
3p-mayo

Preparation

1. Divide the minced meat into two equal parts. Shape each part into a burger slightly larger than the buns (they will shrink a little during cooking). Season both sides of each burger with salt and pepper.

2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the pan is hot, add the olive oil and let it heat up well. Place the burgers in the pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach the desired level of doneness. Remove the burgers from the pan and let them rest.

3. In the same pan, add the red onion slices. Fry until the onions soften and caramelize, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

4. While the onions are frying, heat a griddle pan over medium heat. Cut the buns in half and place them cut side down on the griddle pan. Toast until nicely charred, about 2 minutes.

5. Spread a layer of 3P Golden Barbeque sauce on the bottom halves of the buns. Place lettuce leaves on top of the sauce, followed by one or two slices of tomato. Add a burger on top of the tomato, then spread another layer of 3P Golden Barbeque sauce on top of the burger. Add the caramelized onions, and place the top halves of the buns on top of the onions.

6. Serve the burgers immediately while they are hot. Bon appétit!
